World Cup Special
Be a student of the game and learn from the pro's
One of Leon's first students, Wesley Jackman went to the World Cup in 2002 and represented England at Youth Level. England came back as Champions.
With 32 examples of good goalkeeping practice, the World Cup provides the perfect opportunity to become a student of the game and a great chance for you to improve your game. Examples of how far to come for crosses, how to deal with swerving balls, breakaways, holding lines. In fact with so many games to watch we can take something from every game. Goalkeepers to watch are Petr Cech of the Czech Republic & Chelsea - Presence, Paul Robinson of England and Tottenham - Kicking. Woon Jae Lee - Korea Republic - Shot stopping. Edwin Van der Saar of Holland & Manchester United - Back pass. I have video footage of Gianluigi BUFFON of Italy and Juventus on my new video section of the web site. The video highlights on the official World Cup web site http://fi faworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/ are a great resource of goals and saves. Enjoy - I'm sure we'll have some goalkeeping debate by the time the Tournament is over. If you have any goalkeeping questions in which we can use the video footga as a reference please do not hesitate to get in touch through the contact us page of the web site.
